MORI is a ten-seat teppanyaki counter on Jalan Bisma in Ubud, run on the ideas of kansha, respect for ingredients, and omotenashi. All guests are served at the same time. The kitchen ages, pickles and ferments in-house and draws produce from its own garden in Tegallalang.
Each set follows the same path: welcome drink, three snacks, sushi with ikura and caviar, crab salad, miso soup, a main from the teppan, fried rice and two desserts. Mains range from chicken and prawn (Rp850,000++) and seafood with snapper, squid and prawn (Rp1,000,000++) to Miyazaki A5 sirloin (Rp2,100,000++ to Rp2,500,000++). Hokkaido scallop, half lobster and sturgeon caviar are extras.
