Omakase Go Where

Hong Kong

Hong Kong's omakase counters are some of the most expensive and most decorated in Asia. Sushi Shikon holds three Michelin stars, and one-star counters include Sushi Takeshi, Sushi Wadatsumi, Godenya, Kappo Rin, Nagamoto, Ryota Kappou Modern and I M Teppanyaki & Wine.

Dinner at the top sushi counters costs HK$2,300 to HK$4,000 plus 10% service, while kappo and teppanyaki counters start nearer HK$1,600. Torikaze's yakitori omakase at HK$780 and Nikutoieba Matsuda's wagyu set at HK$1,280 are the cheaper ways in. Most of the counters are in Central and Sheung Wan, with a cluster in Tsim Sha Tsui.
