Torikaze opened in October 2025 at Forty-Five, the dining floors of Gloucester Tower in The Landmark. It is a joint venture between Leading Nation Hospitality and yakitori master Yoshiteru Ikegawa, who trained at Tokyo's Toriyoshi and earned a Michelin star in 2011. Head chef Ryo Matsui runs a U-shaped counter of 16 seats, with two private rooms.
The dinner omakase costs HK$780 plus 10% service and follows the house motto of one skewer, one lifetime. Local three-yellow chicken and imported Japanese cuts are grilled over Kishu binchotan: chicken oyster, tenderloin, neck, heart, liver, tail and tsukune, with seasonal vegetables and hot dishes. Lunch is a simpler set from HK$350 to HK$480, such as oyakodon or chicken soup with somen.
It is one of the more affordable omakase counters in Central and suits first-timers and groups. Later seatings are calmer and the chefs have more time to adjust skewers. Book online or by WhatsApp, and ask about seasonal off-menu skewers.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.

Counters are small and book out, so reserve ahead.
