Ichigo Ichie is a kappo restaurant at Claymore Connect on Orchard Road, where it has been since 2024. Chef Akane Eno spent about 20 years in kappo, sushi and izakaya kitchens in Tokyo and Singapore, including time leading a well-known sushi-ya here, before opening her own place. The name refers to the idea of treating each meal as a one-time encounter. It is listed in the Michelin Guide 2026.
Menus change with the seasons and use produce from suppliers the chef knows personally, sometimes with unexpected additions such as cream cheese, curry leaves or maqaw pepper. The signature is somen with kuruma ebi and uni in a prawn broth. Lunch costs S$148 (Akebono) or S$188 (Shinonome). Dinner is S$350 (Kurenai), with sashimi, wagyu and donabe rice, or S$428 for the Akane menu, which needs four days' notice.
Suited to diners who prefer cooked seasonal dishes to a long run of nigiri. Counter seats are the most requested, so book early through the ResDiary page; call to join the waiting list if your date is full. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
