Sushi Ichi is the Singapore branch of Tokyo's Ginza Sushi Ichi, on the ground floor of the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel at the top of Orchard Road. The counter was cut from a 300-year-old cypress, and wooden ornaments on the walls were made by a carpenter in Nara. It holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide.
The kitchen serves traditional Edomae sushi with seasonal seafood and vegetables from Japan, rice seasoned with red or white vinegar, and sauces shipped from the Tokyo flagship. Lunch runs from S$150 (Tsubaki) and S$200 (Botan) to S$280, S$300 and S$500. At dinner, Omakase Nigiri costs S$300, the Sushi Ichi course S$380 and the Chef's Signature Omakase S$500, before service charge and GST.
Lunch sets make this one of the more accessible starred counters. Only part of the seating is released online, so phone or WhatsApp if the online calendar is full. Groups of four or more must pre-order and leave a full card hold; cancelling one day before forfeits the deposit. Children over six are welcome. Closed on Mondays.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
