Chef Tomoo Kimura returned to Singapore's dining scene in 2025 with Sushi Kimura Plus, a nine-seat counter on the ground floor of Conrad Singapore Orchard on Cuscaden Road. Every piece is made by the chef himself, drawing on three decades of work and long relationships with suppliers across Japan. The restaurant was awarded one Michelin star in the 2026 guide.
The omakase follows the daily catch, with seafood and produce flown in from Japan four times a week. The signature is akami zuke: lean tuna marinated in soy and mirin, pressed onto Yamagata rice dressed with a blend of aged Kyoto vinegars. Lunch costs S$250 and dinner S$380, before service charge and GST, and the chef can suggest sake to match.
For diners who want a personal counter where the chef serves each guest directly. Book on TableCheck; the deposit is non-refundable once confirmed, guests must be 13 or older, and the restaurant asks diners not to wear perfume. Third-party bookings by concierges or secretaries are not accepted.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
