Hamamoto is at 58 Tras Street in Tanjong Pagar. Kyoto-born chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto, known as Chef Kazu, has more than 20 years of experience across Kyoto, Tokyo and Singapore. The restaurant has a 12-seat sushi-kappo counter and a private room for up to five, and holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide.
There is one sitting at lunch and one at dinner. Nigiri such as nodoguro and chutoro is paired with rice dressed in either red or rice vinegar to suit each fish, and the cooked courses, including an uni course and smoked tuna, are as carefully made as the sushi. Lunch is a single S$280 menu with appetiser, uni, a seasonal dish, nigiri and dessert. Dinner is S$425 for the Classic or S$550 for the Experience, which adds a seasonal signature dish and soup.
Best for sushi regulars who plan ahead: with 12 seats per session, bookings go quickly, so reserve through the inline booking page as soon as dates open. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
