Ginza Sushi Ichi is the Bangkok outpost of the Tokyo sushi-ya of the same name, part of a group with branches in Singapore and Jakarta. It moved from Erawan to the third floor of Gaysorn Village on Ploenchit Road, where a ten-seat marble counter sits in a room of pale pine with private rooms to the side. The restaurant is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide Thailand.
The kitchen follows the flagship's rice-vinegar formula and uses two styles of sushi rice to suit different fish, with seafood imported from the Tokyo markets. At lunch the Botan set (3,500 baht) brings an appetiser, sashimi, a cooked dish, eight pieces of sushi and a roll, while the Lunch Omakase is 4,500 baht. Dinner is either Omakase Nigiri at 5,500 baht or the full Omakase at 7,500 baht with sashimi and seasonal cooked dishes. Prices exclude 10% service and 7% VAT.
A sound choice for a classic, nigiri-led meal in the central shopping district. Book through Chope or by phone. Ginza Tenharu, the group's tempura counter, is on the same floor of Gaysorn, so the two make an easy pair for repeat visits.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
