Nikaku traces its roots to Kitakyushu in Fukuoka Prefecture and runs its Bangkok counter on the ground floor of W Bangkok on North Sathorn Road. Chef Setsuo Funahashi leads the counter, which seats about 12 diners. The restaurant is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide Thailand.
The focus is Edomae nigiri, with seafood delivered every two days, mostly from Fukuoka, plus Hokkaido uni. The chef explains each fish as it is served, and tea pairings can be added. Lunch offers 12 courses for 4,000 baht, 17 courses for 6,500 baht or 21 courses for 8,000 baht; dinner is 17 or 21 courses at the same prices. All prices are subject to service and tax, and a deposit is taken at booking.
A practical pick for Silom and Sathorn office lunches as well as longer evening meals. Reservations open 60 days ahead on TableCheck; cancellations inside 48 hours forfeit the deposit and guests more than 30 minutes late are treated as no-shows. Wine or sake not on the list may be brought for 1,000 baht a bottle.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
