Kasen is at 101 Le Thi Rieng in District 1 and calls itself Saigon's first omakase counter, open since 2018. It seats ten at one counter, with tables beside it and a private room for two to twelve guests. Its sushi follows a line that began 30 years ago with Shinji Murata at Hiko Sushi in Los Angeles.
Every menu runs to 15 courses over 60 to 90 minutes, moving from sashimi to sushi and finishing with cooked washoku dishes. Seasonal local ingredients are combined with fish from Japanese markets. Premium, served only at the counter, costs 2,800,000 VND; Sashimi is 3,800,000 VND, Wagyu, with four Japanese beef courses, 4,000,000 VND, and Seasonal 4,200,000 VND. A four-pour sake pairing costs 2,500,000 VND. Prices were updated in September 2026.
Kasen suits diners who want flexible timing, as there are no fixed seatings and it is open daily from 10.30am. Reserve online, by phone, WhatsApp or Zalo; the private room has a 10,000,000 VND minimum spend.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
