Ginza Tenharu opened in July 2023 beside Ginza Sushi Ichi on the second floor of Pullman Jakarta Indonesia, as the first Edomae-style tempura omakase in the city. The room is styled like a tea house, with a cedar counter and only six seats per session, so the chef can talk with each guest while frying.
Each session runs ten or twelve dishes: appetisers, seven to nine pieces of Edomae tempura fried to order, then tendon or tencha and dessert. Seafood such as kisu (Japanese whiting) comes from Japan. The 10-course menu is Rp2,800,000++ and the 12-course menu Rp3,500,000++ per person.
A good choice for tempura lovers or a small group that can take the whole counter. Book at least a day ahead, as ingredients take several hours to prepare. The sister sushi counter, Ginza Sushi Ichi, is next door.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.

Counters are small and book out, so reserve ahead.
