Senju Omakase has operated on the third floor of Plaza Indonesia on Jalan Thamrin since the mid-2010s. The name means a thousand years of longevity, a theme carried through its ginkgo motif. Diners sit at an open-kitchen counter facing the sushi and teppanyaki stations.
Four omakase sets are offered, named Sakura, Muromachi, Higashiyama and Kamakura, running from 5 to 12 courses across appetisers, sashimi, sushi, beef robatayaki, soup and dessert. Ingredients include uni, otoro, aji tataki, hotaru ika, lobster and Miyazaki wagyu. Reported prices run from about Rp1,500,000 to Rp2,100,000 per person before tax and service.
Convenient for a shopping-day lunch or dinner in central Jakarta, with a long sake list. Reserve by WhatsApp, phone or Instagram; à la carte sushi and teppanyaki are also served.
