SHIO sits inside InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah in South Jakarta, with warm wood, soft lighting and a teppan counter alongside table seating. A Japanese resident chef runs the kitchen, mixing the structure of kaiseki with chef-led omakase choices, and the restaurant keeps one of the longer sake lists among Jakarta hotels.
The omakase sets are built around the teppan. The hotel's published menu lists SHIO (Rp1,288,000++), Matcha (Rp1,688,000++) and Matsumoto (Rp2,388,000++), each course matched with a sake. Expect sashimi, chawanmushi, grilled lobster and A5 Kagoshima wagyu, finished with truffle or seafood fried rice. Lunch and dinner menus differ, and prices may have moved since publication.
Good for families and celebrations in the south of the city. Ask for teppan counter seats when booking by phone or WhatsApp.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.

Counters are small and book out, so reserve ahead.
