Birdjovi opened in early 2026 in a small black-box room inside the Comuna building on Pablo Ocampo Sr. Extension, San Antonio Village. Takuto Kato, known as Kato-san, is a self-taught yakitori cook who built a following through pop-ups and runs a yakitori izakaya in Carmona, Cavite.
The yakitori omakase costs ₱4,500 and runs to about 13 courses. Most skewers are chicken, grilled one cut at a time over binchotan and seasoned with Himalayan pink salt and Okinawa salt, from momo and liver to tebasaki. Seafood courses such as iwashi, kanpachi and kajiki appear between skewers, and the meal closes with a chicken shoyu ramen and red bean ice cream with toasted marshmallow.
Suited to yakitori fans who want a lower-priced counter. The first sitting (5pm–7:30pm) is omakase only; the second (from 7:45pm) adds à la carte. Book by Instagram or Viber; a deposit is required.
Menus, prices and seatings change and many counters book out, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
